Disprz appoints a new Chief Commercial Officer for APAC & ME expansion
Enterprise skilling startup Disprz had announced the appointment of Anil Kapur as Chief Commercial Officer last week. The new CCO will be responsible for driving growth and expansion in the Middle East and Asia Pacific.
Anil Kapur is a fintech veteran with a strong portfolio of leadership positions across India, South Asia, South East Asia with leading companies like Western Union and MoneyGram. During his tenure, Anil has continued being a member of the Indo-US CEO Round Table and an active member of the Indo-US Chamber of Commerce.
Barclays gets a new head for UK Investment Banking
Barclays Investment Bank announced the appointment of Aamir Khan as Managing Director in its UK Investment Banking Coverage team.
Previously, Khan has worked with HSBC, where he has spent the past six years. In his recent stint there, he held a Managing Director role within their M&A team, working primarily with UK clients in the consumer and retail, and TMT sectors.
Before HSBC, he had spent 10 years at Lazard where he originated and executed M&A transactions across a range of sectors, with predominantly UK-based clients.
Cognizant names a new Global Head of Talent Management
Soma Pandey has joined the HR global leadership team of Cognizant as the new Head of Talent Management. Her task would be to drive and shape the enterprise talent strategy which includes addressing key people practices.
Soma’s hiring is based on her accomplishment at envisioning and executing large-scale transformations in people practices, and has steered businesses through culture transformations, leadership transitions, business divestments and acquisitions, HR technology and shared services deployments in myriad global contexts.
Unilever CHRO named as Chanel’s new Global CEO
Leena Nair, the chief human resources officer (CHRO) of Unilever, was unveiled as the new Global CEO of French fashion group Chanel this week.
Leena Nair’s journey started with Unilever as management trainee in 1992. As she kept learning and growing in the company, she took on many roles - from Factory Personnel Manager of Lipton (India) Ltd in 1993, to Management Development Planning Manager of Hindustan Lever in 1997, and to Employee Relations Manager of Hindustan Lever in 1996. Her passion for D&I at the workplace led to her becoming the CHRO of Unilever in 2007.
Continental appoints a new Chief Financial Officer
Continental AG appointed Katja Dürrfeld as the new Chief Financial Officer with effect from December 14, 2021. Dürrfeld would be succeeding Nikolai Setzer, who assumed the role within the Executive Board on an interim basis following the departure of Wolfgang Schäfer, as the company communicated on November 17, 2021.
Katja will be responsible for Group Finance and Controlling as well as the company's Group Information Technology.
