Dell's Leanne Buer to lead NZ market drive
Dell Technologies has named tech industry veteran Leanne Buer as its first-ever country manager for New Zealand in a bid to solidify the firm's stronghold in the market.
Buer begins in her newly created role today, taking charge of the entire country operations while reporting to Angela Fox, managing director and senior vice president for Australia and New Zealand at Dell.
The appointment "reinforces our commitment" to local partners, customers and staff, Fox said.
"With a wealth of experience working across the technology sector, Leanne is passionate about the customer and partner outcomes she leads her team to deliver, and the positive impact technology can have on society as a whole," Fox said of Buer's brand of leadership.
The SVP sees an opportunity for Dell to "accelerate digital adoption" in New Zealand, with Buer at the helm.
Prior to joining Dell, Buer recently served as country manager at Cisco and has accumulated more than 25 years of experience, leading New Zealand's tech industry. She also held senior positions in Spark New Zealand, Microsoft and Telecom New Zealand.
Dell's purpose "to create technologies that drive human progress" resonates with Buer. "It's a company that has customers at its core, not [as] an afterthought," she said.
