Acer ANZ channel chief Greg Mikaelian steps down from his role

Mikaelian association with Acer started in 1997 when he joined the tech giants as State Manager for New South Wales and South Australia.

Computer tech giants Acer have announced that their ANZ channel chief Greg Mikaelian is stepping down from his role after four years of service. The departure is revealed amid Acer’s plan to revamp their leadership to accelerate growth in the new markets.

Mikaelian resigned from his role of General Manager of Channels and Marketing, a role he took up in 2018 after his stint with OKI Data.  

An Acer spokesperson told CRN that they are thankful to Greg for his contribution to Acer and wishes him success in his future endeavours.

“In line with the current changing environment, we are reviewing our organisational structure and business direction to identify areas where we can improve efficiencies and streamline operations. The Oceanic region’s local performance remains strong, and our local team continues to deliver innovative solutions and technologies to our customers,” the company statement added.

Mikaelian joined Acer Australia in 1997, a start of over fifteen years of association which culminated with his departure. He was hired as the State Manager for New South Wales and South Australia, gradually moving up to General Manager for channel sales before he left in 2010 to OKI Data, only to return to Acer in 2018 in his current role.

As per various media sources, Mikaelian hasn’t confirmed his plans post the departure.
