Before joining Deputy, Sejal Patel Daswani led people functions at every stage and scale - from start-up, to mid-size, through to Fortune 500 companies.

Deputy, the global people platform for hourly work, announced the appointment of Sejal Patel Daswani as its new Chief People Officer. With her appointment, women now make up 80% of the company’s C-Suite. 

In her new role, Daswani will be responsible for advancing the Deputy’s global people strategy, enhancing the employee experience, and supporting the company’s international expansion.

Daswani who comes with a proven track record of developing business and people strategy to support scale within high-growth, fast-paced environments, has led people functions at every stage and scale - from start-up, to mid-size, through to Fortune 500 companies, including Sunrun and Visa. 

"Having led and scaled frontline workforces, I understand the profound impact that technology has in enhancing the lives and experiences of shift and hourly workers,” said Daswani. 

Silvija Martincevic, CEO of Deputy, emphasised the importance of Daswani’s appointment, stating, "Sejal's experience in scaling global technology companies, as well as her understanding of the world of hourly work will be invaluable as we strive to not only grow Deputy, but also to create meaningful impact for our customers, our partners, and the hourly workers we serve.”
