As part of strategic leadership development, Accenture has named senior executives to spearhead different functions and bolstering Australia businesses.

Accenture, a global consulting firm, has announced eight senior leadership appointments across various divisions in Australia, including Strategy and Consulting, Communications, Media and Technology, Private Equity, Design and Innovation, and Finance. The leadership appointments are effective from September 2023 onwards.

Accenture ANZ Strategy and Consulting

As part of the leadership appointments in the Strategy & Consulting division, Managing Director Emma Neil has been appointed as the leader of the division, while Managing Director Georgia Hewett will lead Regional Sales.

Emma brings over 20 years of experience and has been leading the firm’s CMT division as Client Group Lead for the past two years.

On the other hand, Georgia joined the firm in 2012 and held several key positions, including Head of Corporate Communications, CEO Chief of Staff, and Corporate Communications Lead. She posted on LinkedIn: "I’m happy to share that I’ve started a new position as Strategy & Consulting Sales Lead at Accenture and will be a part of the ANZ management committee. I'm looking forward to partnering with the awesome Emma Neil and Paul Chapman for the next chapter."

Joining them in the division as Managing Directors are - Martin Fahy, the former CEO of the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia for over six years and a partner at KPMG for over four years, and Gaurav Gopal, the former VP of Infosys for over 20 years, who will lead Segment Growth.

Accenture ANZ Private Equity

Suzie Blinman has been appointed as Managing Director of Private Equity for the region. She previously led Strategy&, as a Partner in Deal Strategy and Value Creation at PwC Australia for over three years.

“I’m six weeks into my new role at Accenture, where I’ve joined a new global private equity practice as the leader for the ANZ market… thank you, Jay Scanlan, Brian Crandall, and Jordan Griffiths for the opportunity… looking forward to building something new and different for #privateequity,” stated Suzie in a LinkedIn post.

Accenture ANZ Financial Services

Based out of Sydney, Nikki Tyrer-Kennelly has been appointed as Global Clients Lead. She left Accenture in 2016 after serving for 20 years in the capacity of Senior Managing Executive in South Africa for the division.

Commenting on her new appointment, Nikki said, “The core values of Accenture remain as powerful and important as I remember them but have been refreshed to adapt to our new way of working and business demands. From how quickly I have been exposed to one global firm, the importance of integrity, stewardship, respect, and people, the absolute focus on delivering client value is still central to all we do. A lot can change in 7 years, and the breadth and depth of capabilities, assets, tools, and thought leadership delivered in innovative new ways, powered by AI, is incredible to see. There is no shortage of talent and vision to support our clients. Thank you, Swati Malhotra, Andy Willshaw and the entire onboarding and exec team from Accenture for the very warm welcome back.”

Accenture Song ANZ

The consulting firm also welcomed back Bronwyn van der Merwe in the lead role for Customer Function at Accenture Song. She will be spearheading the customer functions, enabling organisations to amplify the impact of their purpose by partnering with them to transform products, marketing, commerce, and customer sales and service. Previously, she held the role of Design Lead for the division in the APAC region after Accenture Interactive acquired Fjord.

She posted on LinkedIn, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Functions Lead at Accenture Song! My mission in this role is to work across the Australia and New Zealand business in facilitating purpose-driven growth for clients across the offerings of Product Innovation, Marketing, Commerce, and Customer Sales and Service.”

Accenture ANZ CMT

Paolo Sidoti, who joined the firm in 1997, has been appointed as Managing Director and Client Group Lead for the Communications, Media, and Technology (CMT) division. He previously served as ASIAM Communications and Industry Lead for about four years.

Based in Sydney, Paolo has spent over 25 years with Accenture working for Australia, Southeast Asia, India, the Middle East, and Africa. In the past, he also held the role of Network Services Lead for Europe and Latin America for seven years.
