Stellantis, the new automaker group formed by the merger of major automobile brands Fiat Chrysler and Peugeot, has announced the appointment of its new executive leadership. The merger became effective on January 16 and the executive appointments were confirmed on January 19, including strategic and performance heads, regional leaders, brand leaders, and global function heads.

The leadership of the new company is divided more or less evenly between Fiat Chrysler and Peugeot executives. Some of the key appointments are as below:

Carlos Tavares (above), formerly Chief Executive of Peugeot, is now Chief Executive Officer of Stellantis. Fiat Chrysler CEO Mike Manley now heads the new company's North America operations.

Xavier Chereau, formerly Executive Vice President, Human Resources and Transformation at Peugeot, is now Global Chief of Human Resources and Transformation at Stellantis. Fiat Chrysler CHRO Linda Knoll has retired.

Richard Palmer, formerly Chief Finance Officer of Fiat Chrysler, is now Chief Finance Officer of Stellantis. Peugeot CFO Philippe de Rovira is now Chief Affiliates Officer of Stellantis.

Emmanuel Delay, formerly Peugeot's Executive Vice President of the India-Asia-Pacific region, is now Chief Performance Officer of Stellantis.

The Chief Technology Officer has yet to be appointed. Fiat Chrysler CTO Harald Wester is now Global Chief of Engineering.
