Marking its first international takeover, TechnologyOne set to buy Scientia for AU $22Mn

Australian enterprise software company, TechnologyOne is all set to buy Scientia Resource Management, UK based time-tabling and resource management company for AU $22 million. Edward Chung, TechnologyOne CEO informed that both the companies entered into a sale agreement on Monday. It will also be TechnologyOne’s first international takeover.
Through this acquisition, TechnologyOne will focus on streamlining and strengthening its offerings in the education sector. This will also allow them a considerable competitive advantage in the UK markets. TechnologyOne will also reap benefits in the Australian high market with this deal.
Chung also praised Scientia’s leading product, Syllabus Plus which is a provider of advanced academic timetabling and resource scheduling. Starting off as developing timetabling systems of schools and colleges in 1989 to now creating a range of solutions for the education sector, Scientia’s products are now being used in over 150 towering universities across the world.
