Westpac, an Australian Bank and financial services provider, has so far generated 1075 jobs in the customer care sector, with a chunk of it to support Covid-19 affected population and mortgage processes. New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia benefitted majorly from the said job openings, since July 2020.
The mass recruitment follows Westpac's commitment to bring about 1000 customer centric jobs to Australia. The idea is to cater to the rising need for job, customer support and better customer experience in the region affected by the pandemic.
Talking about the adversities caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and its consequences, Westpac Chief Executive Officer, Peter King, feels delighted to contribute to the cause by keeping his commitment. The jobs will provide 100% Covid-19 support to people, and aid customers manage their businesses. King further mentioned that the Bank has recruited a highly skilled talent pool while the training and transition process is underway, expected to be finished by the end of 2021.
