Bayer Group names Manoj Saxena as Country Head and Senior Representative for Pharma Division ANZ

In assuming his new role for Bayer Group's Pharma Division in Australia and New Zealand, Manoj Saxena brings 26 years of experience to enhance the group's presence in the region.

Bayer, a pharmaceutical and biotechnology firm, has appointed Manoj Saxena as the Country Division Head and Senior Representative for its Pharmaceuticals Division in Australia & New Zealand (ANZ), effective from January 1, 2024.

Manoj, currently the Managing Director of Bayer Zydus and Country Head for South Asia in the Pharmaceuticals Division, will be responsible for the group’s growth and expansion in the region. With an association with the group since 2009, he has held various leadership roles during the last 14 years, bringing over 25 years of core industry expertise, including managing P&L, business strategy, sales and marketing, business analysis, and general management. He is also the President-Elect of the Organization of Pharmaceutical Producers of India (OPPI).

Before joining the group, Manoj served Cipla for over 12 years in key roles, including Regional Director and Commercial Manager.

On the academic front, Manoj holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics (Hons) from Banaras Hindu University and a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Awadh University. He also completed MDP in Transformational Leadership from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and MDP - Top 100 Leaders Program from IMD.

Expressing enthusiasm for his new role, Manoj said, “As I transition to a new role and country within our incredible organization, I am excited about the fresh challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. I am grateful for the unwavering support of our dedicated teams and look forward to contributing to our shared success in this exciting new chapter.”
