
AA New Zealand elevates Vicki Caisley to Chief People & Transformation Officer role
Automobile Association New Zealand has promoted Vicki Caisley to Chief People & Transformation Officer, effective February 2025.
Vicki, who has served as AA’s Chief People Officer since 2023, brings over 25 years of HR and people leadership experience. She has played a key role in fostering a value-driven, people-centric, and engaged work culture. Over the past two years, she has nurtured an environment of trust, provided a clear vision, and supported thriving teams, enabling people and businesses to grow, change, and prosper.
In her new role, Vicki will continue to "lead the development and implementation of the people and culture strategy, ensuring our 1,000+ team across New Zealand is set up to successfully deliver the AA strategy, while also ensuring AA remains an employer of choice."
Before joining AA, Vicki spent over a decade with Southern Cross Health Society in key roles, including Chief People & Strategy Officer and Acting Chief Digital Officer. Prior to that, she served as National Director of People & Culture at Grant Thornton New Zealand, a board member on the New Zealand Fire Service Commission, and an HR consultant at Q Theatre. She began her career as an HR Manager at AMP Banking before working with Auckland District Health Board and taking on various independent roles.
Academically, Vicki holds an MBA from Massey University and excels in “operating model design, transformation, and supporting leadership teams through strategy execution and culture change.” Among her achievements is her ranking on the Insurance Business Elite Women list in 2022.
She works closely with AA’s leadership team, including CEO Nadine Tereora, Chief Policy & Advocacy Officer Simon Douglas, and Chief Experience Officer Kath Woollard, to align the people and business agendas.
AA most recently appointed Stephanie Creasy as Chief Technology Officer to improve its digital capabilities and deliver on strategic priorities, and elevated Renee Kinloch to Chief Finance Officer, enhancing the efficiency and reliability of AA’s financial operations and systems.
