University of Oxford appoints Soumitra Dutta as new Dean for Saïd Business School

The University of Oxford has appointed Indian-American academic Soumitra Dutta as the new dean of its Saïd Business School. Dutta is currently professor of Management at the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business at Cornell University in New York, where he was also the founding dean. He will take up his new role as the dean of Oxford Saïd on June 1 this year.

ChartHop appoints Matt Wolf as Chief Finance Officer

Poeple Analytics platform ChartHop named finance industry vetaran Matt Wolf as Chief Finance Officer at the company. In this new role, Wolf will oversee financial strategies for ChartHop, focusing on company growth and cultivating an environment that ensures employees have the right resources to succeed. As CFO, he will spearhead communicating ChartHop’s story in a compelling way to investors and the broader market. As the former CFO at Roadster, Wolf has experience leading financial services, implementing effective fundraising and guiding operational improvement. Prior to Roadster, he served in various in-house finance leadership roles in the consumer goods and tech industries after starting his financial career as an investment banker with Morgan Stanley. 

Jennifer N Harris appointed first female board member of Brillio

US-based digital technology consulting and services company Brillio has appointed Jennifer N. Harris to its Board of Directors, effective immediately. Harris joins Brillio as their first female board member and brings with her more than twenty years of experience managing financial and operational infrastructure for high-growth enterprise software and SaaS companies.

DoorDash CEO Tony Xu joins Meta board of directors

Tony Xu, the co-founder and CEO of online food-ordering platform DoorDash, has joined the board of directors of Meta, the Facebook’s parent company has announced. Xu has been serving as DoorDash’s chief executive officer and has been on its board since May 2013. He was appointed DoorDash’s board chair in November 2020. Xu’s appointment brings the total number of directors on Meta’s board to 10.

Pierre-Olivier Gourinchas is the new IMF Chief Economist

Pierre-Olivier Gourinchas will be starting his role as IMF Chief Economist from 24th January, part-time and eventually transition to full time on 1st April. As Economic Counsellor, he will serve as director of the IMF‘s Research Department. The newly appointed Chief Economist is also Program Director of International Finance and Macroeconomics at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). He has also been a member of the French Council of Economic Advisors to the Prime Minister, from 2012 to 2013.

Cornerstone OnDemand appoints Himanshu Palsule as Chief Executive Officer

Cornerstone OnDemand this week appointed Himanshu Palsule as the new Chief Executive Officer, adding another name to the list of Indian CEOs headlining American companies. Boasting a deep industry knowledge of shaping new markets, Palsule has over 35 years of experience leading product, technology, and marketing organizations with a focus on driving growth and customer value.
