Australia's leading subscription television company, Foxtel Group announced the appointment of Michael Nearhos as Executive Director, Marketing, a new role created by the company. He will assume the role from 14th September. With this new hiring, the company aims to put marketing, creative, media and content communications function as the focal point of its strategy. Nearhos will be heading Foxtel’s marketing centre of excellence. He has over 20 years of toiling experience in driving effective brand and marketing strategy, communications, digital and retail activation, innovation of online and offline customer experiences, and culture, in leading multi-channel businesses.
Nearhos will be reporting to chief customer, marketing and revenue officer, Hilary Perchard. He will be a great addition to the team and strengthen Foxtel and grow its subscriber base and revenues across the Foxtel Group. Foxtel’s subscriber base had seen prominent growth across streaming services Kayo and Binge over the course of the financial year.
Prior to this, Nearhos was the strategic advisor across group brand and marketing for Bank of Queensland and Virgin Money for a short period of time. His list of credentials also included being the general manager brand and marketing at Virgin Australia. At NAB, Nearhos had been the GM of brand experience and GM of brand and product marketing.
