ANZ Appoints Ashish Gupta as Country Head for Thailand

ANZ has announced the appointment of Ashish Gupta as Country Head, Thailand, reporting to Chris Raciti, ANZ Head of South East Asia, India and the Middle East. The appointment is subject to regulatory approval.

Gupta brings over 20 years of international banking experience spanning Australia, New Zealand, North America, Europe, and Asia. Since joining ANZ in 2013, he has held several senior roles across Relationship Management, Transaction Banking, and Research and Analysis. Most recently, he served as Director, FIG Insurance in Australia, where he managed a portfolio of complex insurance clients, delivering lending, transaction banking, and capital markets services.

Commenting on the appointment, Raciti said, “Ashish brings deep institutional banking experience and a strong record of disciplined risk management, client engagement and collaboration across the ANZ network.

“ANZ has had business operations in Thailand since 1986 and remains committed to the market. Through our representative office, we continue to support institutional and corporate clients by connecting them to cross-border trade and capital flow opportunities across our global network.

“Ashish is well placed to lead our business in Thailand, strengthening client and regulatory relationships, enhancing governance, and supporting sustainable growth,” Raciti concluded.

Gupta is expected to relocate to Thailand and assume his new role in the coming months, subject to the necessary regulatory and travel approvals.
