T-Mobile plans on firing unvaccinated employees after April

Under the new vaccine mandate, employees who are not fully employed by April 2 will be “separated” from the company
T-Mobile has introduced a vaccine policy announcing that employees who are not fully vaccinated by April 2 will be terminated. Under this policy, those who are not vaccinated with the first dose by February 21 will be put on unpaid leave. However, this vaccine mandate does not apply to all employees under T-Mobile.
Retail workers are exempted from the mandate but are encouraged to get vaccinated. Employees under Customer Experience Centers(CEC) are exempted from being placed on unpaid leave. However they should produce a proof of vaccination or a pending or approved accommodation request by April 2. Employees with an approved or pending religious or medical accommodations will be exempted from the mandate.
T-Mobile has introduced a badge-controlled office where some areas of the office are only accessible with a “Magenta Pass” given to employees who are vaccinated. In an email to their employees, T-Mobile has cited the safety of its employees and customers for this strict mandate, “We have weighed this issue carefully with the benefit of input from our medical advisors and insights from many other large companies with similar policies, and it's clear that this is the right thing to do to help save lives and prevent serious illness.”
