Propel Finance ropes in Paul Piggott as new Head of Vendor Sales
Leading UK independent asset finance lender, Propel Finance named Paul Piggott as its new Head of Vendor Sales effective immediately. He will be entrusted to expedite the growth of Propel’s rapidly expanding vendor finance business with special emphasis on the underserved technology market. Piggott has extensive experience of 30 years in asset finance and equipment leasing. He has a knack for identifying and developing highly profitable sources of business across multiple sectors. Piggot’s hiring reiterates the company’s aspirations to grow in the vendor finance sector as Propel’s business portfolio surged by 35% in 2020 and it entails over 40,000 customers.
Before his stint at Propel Finance, Piggott was Head of European Sales and Marketing at Macquarie. He is credited for Macquarie’s entry into the UK Flow Vendor market and UK broker market. He transformed the company from a small start-up in 2012 to a team providing renowned leasing capability across 33 countries worldwide. Macquarie ranked as the sales organisation with £400M in annual leasing originations across Europe, due to Piggott’s relentless efforts. He has held several senior executive roles at Fujitsu Financial Services, Heller Financial Inc., GE Capital, and ABN AMRO Lease Plan.
