Praemium appoints Anthony Wamsteker as Chief Executive Officer

Wamsteker, who had been interim CEO since May, is expected to play a key role in bolstering the growth of Praemium as it commences its divestment process for its UK and international business.
ASX-listed fintech platform, Praemium announced the appointment of Anthony Wamsteker as Chief Executive Officer of the company. He will formally step into the role from 16th August.
Earlier, Wamsteker was the Executive Director and Interim CEO of Praemium since May 2021. His association with Praemium began in November 2020, becoming part of its board when Praemium acquired Powerwrap where he was Chairman. Wamsteker will be paid $600,000 base pay including superannuation, up to 50% of base salary as performance-based short-term incentives, and performance rights as long-term incentives by Praemium.
Having an experience of over 35 years in financial services, Wamsteker was the founding CEO of ME Bank. He has held prestigious positions in National Mutual/AXA and Powerwrap. He holds a BEc, Finance and Actuarial Studies from Macquarie University.
Barry Lewin, Praemium Chairman said that Wamsteker’s deep financial services, management experience, and acumen to the wider senior management team will contribute towards the growth and stability of the company.
