Surventis appoints Rebecca Koch as chief human resources officer

Koch to lead global HR as coatings technology company builds people foundations following BASF carve-out
Surventis, global leader in coatings and surface treatment solutions has appointed Dr Rebecca Koch as chief human resources officer and a member of its Executive Committee, as the coatings technology company continues to build its operations following its carve-out from BASF.
Koch assumed the role on September 1 and will lead the further development of Surventis’ global HR organisation, with a focus on culture, leadership and establishing the people foundations required to support the company’s performance ambitions.
15 years of HR leadership experience
Koch brings more than 15 years of international HR leadership experience to Surventis. She most recently held senior roles at software group Nemetschek and logistics company DB Schenker, where she was responsible for workforces of up to 50,000 employees across Europe.
Earlier in her career, she held several HR leadership positions at US medical technology company Becton Dickinson, including responsibility for Talent & Culture across the Greater Asia region while based in Singapore.
Koch has also led people development and change management at airberlin and began her career at Bain & Company.
Surventis strengthens HR leadership
Surventis CEO Jens Luehring said, “Rebecca Koch is a highly accomplished HR leader, and we are fortunate to have won her for Surventis,” Luehring said.

Koch succeeds Markus Dinslacken, who led the HR organisation through Surventis’ carve-out from BASF. Luehring thanked Dinslacken for helping establish the foundations of the company’s HR organisation during the transition.
Koch studied business mathematics and holds a doctorate in behavioural finance. She also completed the International Directors Programme at INSEAD and regularly writes and speaks about artificial intelligence and its impact on HR.
