First Sentier Group appoints Belinda Webber as chief people officer

Belinda Webber takes over as Chief People Officer following the relocation of the role from Edinburgh to Sydney after Adele Swan stepped down.
First Sentier Group has appointed Belinda Webber as its new Chief People Officer, effective August 31, as the global asset management firm strengthens its people leadership and aligns the function more closely with its executive team.
Based in Sydney, Webber will join the executive committee and report directly to CEO Harry Moore. She will lead the group's global people strategy, helping build a more connected, high-performing and client-focused organisation while working closely with senior leaders to attract, develop and retain talent globally.
Webber joins from Rabobank, where she served as Group Executive and Chief Human Resources Officer, overseeing human resources and corporate affairs across Australia and New Zealand. She brings more than 25 years of experience leading business transformation, organisational culture and employee engagement initiatives.
Prior to Rabobank, Webber held senior leadership roles at Commonwealth Bank, PepsiCo, Microsoft and ANZ Bank.
Her appointment follows the decision by current Chief People and Culture Officer Adele Swan to step down after the company relocated the Chief People Officer role from Edinburgh to Sydney, where CEO Harry Moore is based.
According to the company, the move is intended to strengthen engagement and collaboration between the CEO and the group's people leadership function.
Commenting on the appointment, Moore said, "Belinda brings deep expertise in people leadership and organisational transformation, along with a proven track record of building high-performing teams and driving cultural change. Her experience will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen our global organisation and deliver long-term value for our clients."
Webber added, "I'm delighted to be joining First Sentier Group at such an exciting time for the business. I look forward to working with Harry, the executive team and colleagues across the organisation to build on its strong culture and support its people in delivering outstanding outcomes for clients."
With Webber's appointment, the group aims to further advance its people strategy as it continues to strengthen leadership capability, organisational culture and talent development across its global workforce.
