Declan Coady appointed Chief People Officer at Fitness Cartel Australia & New Zealand

Coady brings more than 25 years of HR leadership experience, with deep expertise spanning HR transformation, executive partnering, digital HR platforms, and culture strategy.

Fitness Cartel Australia & New Zealand has appointed Declan Coady as its Chief People Officer, effective immediately, strengthening the company’s leadership bench as it accelerates growth across the region.


Coady announced the move on LinkedIn, stating: “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Chief People Officer at Fitness Cartel Australia & New Zealand!”


He joins the fitness franchise with extensive experience across people strategy and organisational transformation. Over the course of his career, Coady has held senior HR leadership roles at Obela Fresh Dips & Spreads (a joint venture with PepsiCo), Lion, Guardian Childcare & Education, and WW International.


He brings deep expertise in HR transformation, executive partnering, digital HR platforms, and culture strategy. His track record of leading enterprise-wide change and building high-performing, values-led organisations is expected to support Fitness Cartel’s next phase of expansion.


In his new role, Coady will lead the company’s people agenda, aligning talent and culture initiatives with the organisation’s mission of “Inspiring a healthier you!” across Australia and New Zealand.


On the academic front, Coady holds a bachelor degree in business from University of Newcastle, and an executive MBA from University of Technology Sydney. He is also a certified member of Australian HR Institute for over two decades now.
