Cushman & Wakefield appoints Ben McGrath as Managing Director for Queensland business

His appointment comes at a time when Queensland continues to attract strong investor interest, supported by resilient occupier demand and robust transaction activity across commercial real estate markets.
Cushman & Wakefield has appointed commercial real estate veteran Ben McGrath to lead its Queensland business, marking the latest in a series of strategic leadership appointments as the firm strengthens its presence in one of Australia's fastest-growing property markets.
According to media reports, McGrath's appointment forms part of Cushman & Wakefield's broader investment strategy to expand its leadership team, client offering and market presence across Queensland amid strong commercial real estate activity.
McGrath brings decades of experience in the commercial property sector, having previously served as Managing Director of Knight Frank Queensland and National Director at JLL. He also spent five years based in China, where he developed expertise in regional capital flows and offshore client relationships.
Most recently, he led his own advisory and investment management business, which established a modular housing venture aimed at addressing Australia's shortage of affordable housing.
