Aurora appoints veteran CPG leader Kerry Miller as Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand

With more than three decades in global consumer goods, Kerry Miller will steer Aurora’s next phase of growth across two of its most strategically important medical cannabis markets.
Aurora Cannabis has named seasoned global consumer goods executive Kerry Miller as Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand, effective 15 January 2026, marking a significant leadership move as the company sharpens its focus on international growth and medical market expansion.
Miller brings more than 35 years of global CPG experience, including a long and successful career with Reckitt Benckiser and nearly a decade at Unilever. Across both organisations he led major commercial and transformation programmes spanning Australia, the UK, the US, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. His track record includes managing large cross-market teams, reshaping portfolios in regulated environments, and driving sustained topline growth and margin improvement.
In a statement, Miller said he was joining Aurora at an “inflection point” in its global strategy and looked forward to accelerating innovation and strengthening partnerships in the region. “Expanding access to medical cannabis is meaningful work,” he said. “I’m excited to help deliver greater value to patients, regulators and the broader healthcare ecosystem across Australia and New Zealand.”
The appointment comes as Australia and New Zealand continue to mature as medical cannabis markets, with rising patient adoption, ongoing regulatory evolution and growing competition among licensed producers. Aurora, already one of the most established players in both countries, is positioning itself to consolidate market share through new product development and stronger local leadership.
Headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta, Aurora remains one of the world’s largest medical cannabis suppliers, with operations across Canada, Europe and the Asia-Pacific. Its portfolio includes well-known adult-use brands such as San Rafael ’71, Drift and Greybeard, alongside a global stable of medical brands including MedReleaf, CanniMed and Whistler.
Miller’s appointment signals Aurora’s intent to deepen its presence across ANZ at a time when demand dynamics, patient expectations and competitive pressures are shifting rapidly.
