The role of HR will become increasingly vital as the world of work changes. The growing reliance on digital technologies, coupled with the impact of the COVID pandemic, will likely accelerate our transition to the future of work.

Businesses are fundamentally shifting to digital-first operations, augmenting work through the help of artificial intelligence and robotic process automation.

Because of this increasing reliance on technology, the notion of work will only continue to evolve. At the heart of it, HR professionals will also play a more crucial role as new job types and opportunities emerge in their field.

A study conducted by Deloitte Access Economics revealed that the HR profession in Australia is expected to grow by 2.3% this year. As such, business leaders are expecting new types of jobs to be created in HR in the near future.

More senior HR roles, however, may see greater potential for job growth than others because of the level of experience and expertise required.

Here are the top HR jobs of the future:

Human Resources Data Director

A huge chunk of an HR leader’s workload is dealing with people's data from multiple sources, including human capital management and HR information systems. Having an HR data director ensures that companies can stay competitive in an increasingly data-oriented market.

Chief Purpose Officer

They can determine how the company can address social causes and develop strategies to deliver better results around it.

Head of Human-Machine Teaming

In the future, workers will be working alongside artificial intelligence. With human-machine teaming leaders, companies can integrate the strengths of both to achieve their goals and ensure their workers can adjust properly.

Business Behaviour Facilitator

Improving employee motivation is crucial especially in these times. Facilitators of business behaviour will monitor behavioural data of employees coming from biometric technology. These can be used to better understand employee behaviour and make a fuller experience for employees.

HR’s role will become increasingly vital as the world of work changes. The growing reliance on digital technologies, coupled with the impact of the COVID pandemic, will likely accelerate our transition to the future of work and HR.
