Headspace Health, a global mental health solutions provider revealed the findings of a survey which shows that 97% of the Australian business leaders think that they do enough for the mental health of the employees. However, only 66% of the employees aligned with this.
The same survey also found that while 93% of the employers believe that their mental health benefits are accessible to all the employees, only 68% of employees agree. A report carried out by HRD Australia states that a similar survey conducted last year showed that employees (71%) reported an increase in focus on mental health against which 31% of the respondents reported that the companies have complied with the promises.
Commenting on the findings, Russell Glass, CEO of Headspace Health said, “Employee mental health is a business continuity issue that every leader needs to address, particularly as many employees return to the office and experience new day-to-day stressors.”
