Tower appoints Len Elikhis as CFO to drive growth and financial strategy

Tower, a New Zealand-incorporated financial services company, has appointed Len Elikhis as its new Chief Financial Officer, reinforcing its executive leadership as the New Zealand insurer continues to execute its growth strategy and strengthen its customer proposition across the region.

According to media reports, Elikhis will take up the role on 2 November 2026, subject to the completion of regulatory processes. He succeeds interim CFO Simon Hoole, who will step down following his tenure in the position.

Elikhis joins Tower from PPS Mutual, where he has served as Chief Financial and Operating Officer since 2023. He previously held senior leadership roles at AIA New Zealand and Sovereign, bringing extensive expertise in life and health insurance, finance, actuarial management and business transformation across both established and high-growth financial services organisations.

The appointment comes as Tower, listed on the Australian Securities Exchange, continues to pursue sustainable growth under Chief Executive Paul Johnston.

The insurer provides personal and commercial insurance across New Zealand and five Pacific Island nations, serving more than 300,000 customers while expanding its digital capabilities and direct-to-consumer offering.

Leadership to support long-term growth

Paul Johnston, Chief Executive, Tower said, “Len’s commercial insight, proven experience delivering growth and strategic leadership will be a valuable addition to Tower’s executive team as we continue to strengthen our customer proposition and deliver long-term value for shareholders.”

The leadership transition comes as Tower continues to invest in business transformation and customer-focused initiatives across its regional operations.
