Reckitt has elevated Shivani Mehta to the role of Regional Human Resources Director, Australia New Zealand, effective September 2026, marking the latest step in her more than 12-year career with the consumer health and hygiene company.
Mehta shared the appointment on LinkedIn, saying she was pleased to start her new position as Regional Human Resources Director Australia New Zealand at Reckitt.
In her new role, Mehta will take on regional HR leadership responsibilities across Australia and New Zealand, following a career with Reckitt that has spanned business partnering, reward strategy, talent management, organisational integration and global HR leadership across multiple markets.
Prior to the appointment, Mehta served as Human Resources Director, Global R&D, and before that, she was Global Human Resources Director, Marketing Hygiene and Netherlands HQ.
Her earlier leadership roles included Global HR Director, Category Development Organization, and Global Senior HR Business Partner, Marketing Excellence and eCommerce, both based in the Netherlands.
Mehta's experience at Reckitt also includes roles in reward and global mobility. From September 2019 to August 2020, she served as Reward Manager for Africa, Middle East and Asia. Earlier, she was Reward Lead Europe and Global Functions, Hygiene/Home, where she worked on compensation and benefits, global mobility and reward strategy across several geographies and global functions.
She also played a role in Reckitt's integration of Mead Johnson Nutrition, serving as Global HR Project Manager for the integration following the company's acquisition of the business.
Mehta began her Reckitt career in India as a Management Trainee, after completing a summer internship with Aon Hewitt Asia. She subsequently worked as an HR Business Partner supporting Sales, Global R&D and Information Services in India.
As HR Business Partner for Sales, she was responsible for workforce planning, talent assessment and succession, hiring, capability building and development planning for the sales organisation. In her earlier role supporting Global R&D and Information Services, she managed HR activities for employees across Reckitt's R&D and IT shared services operations in India.
Her career progression at Reckitt has taken her across India, the UK and the Netherlands, giving her experience across both regional and global HR mandates.
Mehta holds an MBA in Human Resources Management and Services, and a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
