Nodal Government Organization, Mildura Rural City Council has appointed Martin Hawson as its Acting CEO, the role that he will officially assume from 6th August. Prior to this, he was the Council’s General Community Manager.
Praising Hawson’s 20 years of local government experience, Cr Jason Modica, Mildura Mayor is assured that his experience, knowledge, and insights as Council’s General Manager will be helpful for him in the new role as well with regard to key Council priorities and projects. Hawson will replace the Council’s interim CEO, Phil Shanahan. The appointment of a permanent CEO will soon be restating from late 2021.
The Council members expressed gratitude towards the efforts of Phil Shanahan and also look forward to working with Martin Hawson.
In their bid to deliver essential services, programs, and infrastructure for the community, CR Jason Modica is confident that Hawson will work with the Councillors and staff towards ensuring it.
