Intel names Glen Boatwright as new Country Manager for Australia and New Zealand

Intel has named Glen Boatwright as its new country manager for Australia and New Zealand, stepping into the role at a time when the region remains a key market for the tech company. Boatwright steps into the role after serving as regional sales manager, where he worked closely with HPI and HPE partners and played a key part in strengthening Intel’s commercial ecosystem across the region.

Boatwright is no stranger to the organisation. He has been with Intel for more than 22 years, holding a wide mix of senior roles that cut across field sales engineering, OEM and channel relationships, retail marketing, and broader regional sales leadership. This depth of experience has given him a front-row view of how the company’s technology portfolio has evolved and how customer demands have shifted in response to new computing trends.

In his new mandate, he will lead Intel’s strategy for ANZ, with a focus on expanding the business, deepening partnerships, and reinforcing the company’s role in emerging areas such as AI, edge computing and accelerated workloads. Speaking on the appointment, Boatwright said the opportunity comes at a pivotal moment for the industry.

“Having worked across multiple sectors and roles over my 22 years with Intel, I’ve seen how technology can completely reshape industries and empower communities,” he said. “As we enter a new era defined by AI and accelerated computing, my priority is to strengthen Intel’s leadership through our products, partnerships and the value we deliver to customers.”

George Chacko, GM of Southeast Asia and ANZ for Intel’s sales and marketing group, noted that Boatwright emerged as the clear choice after an extensive search. “His long-standing experience and leadership within Intel make him ideally placed to guide our next chapter of growth across Australia and New Zealand,” he said.

Boatwright’s appointment signals Intel’s intent to reinforce its position in the region at a time when the computing landscape is undergoing rapid transformation.
