GE HealthCare has appointed Miranda Chatziioannou as its chief talent officer, effective immediately, marking a key leadership elevation within the organisation.
The appointment marks a significant elevation for Chatziioannou, who most recently served as Executive Director – Human Resources for the company’s international markets, spanning Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and Asia Pacific.
A veteran of the company, Chatziioannou joined GE HealthCare in 2010 and has since held several critical HR leadership roles, including Global HR Director and Learning & Development leader. Over the years, she has built a reputation for aligning talent frameworks with business priorities across diverse and complex geographies.
Announcing her new role on LinkedIn, Chatziioannou shared, “I’m stepping into my new role as Chief Talent Officer at GE HealthCare with gratitude, a strong sense of purpose, and a deep belief in the power of people.”
Adding, “Throughout my career, I’ve seen organisations truly thrive when talent, leadership, and strategy come together in ways that allow people to do their best work, and to grow while doing it. That experience will continue to guide my focus as we strengthen our enterprise talent agenda and ensure our people and organisation are equipped to adapt, evolve, and succeed in a changing world.”
Her focus, she shared, will be on ensuring that both people and the organisation are equipped to adapt and succeed in an evolving business landscape, an increasingly critical mandate as industries navigate digital acceleration, workforce shifts, and changing employee expectations.
Chatziioannou also acknowledged key leaders who shaped her journey, including Adam Holton and Elie Chaillot, crediting their leadership and support during periods of transformation. “Working with such talented HR partners, leaders and colleagues across such diverse geographies through periods of transformation has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my career, and one of the clearest examples of what’s possible when strong, aligned teams come together. I’m excited about what comes next, energized by the people I’ve learned from along the way, and proud to build alongside this community.”
Holton also commented, “One of the easiest decisions I have ever made, Miranda Chatziioannou! What you have accomplished at GEHC over the last 15+ years is phenomenal. Your understanding of what drives the combination of business, talent, and culture outcomes ...and your ability to bring that combo to realisation...is a strategic differentiator for us. I look forward to witnessing your continued growth and everything positive that comes with it for our colleagues and company!”
Before joining GE HealthCare, Chatziioannou held HR roles at global consumer giants Heineken and Unilever, bringing a cross-industry perspective to her leadership. Academically, she holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in law, along with a Master of Science in Human Resources.
