Recruiters may be loving the fact that processes are going to get automated: Chris Murdock
Recruiters have to make sure that they know who the right candidate is and also, that the candidates are elaborated about the roles that the recruiters are hiring for. Otherwise, in the process of spamming resumes and candidate profiles, crucial time is lost,” said Chris Murdock, Chief Sourcing Officer and Co-Founder of IQTalent.
Sharing an example of personalisation in the approach of pitching the potential candidates he stated an interesting conversation initiated by one of his team members. While reaching out to a highly sought after candidate, who happened to be a Spice Girls fan, his colleague asked “tell me what you want…what you really really want?”. He noted that this may not work all the time, but certainly leads to a healthy conversation between the recruiter and the candidates which may be fruitful in the long run.
During the chat, Chris emphasised that with the tech transformation of the future of work, the future of hiring will also change. The initial processes will be conducted by AI operated chatbots which will respond like a human.
I think we'll see new forms of communication that are used to connect with the sought after people, Chris said.
He added that the processes are going to get streamlined with the introduction of AI into the process.
