Bundaberg Job Fair led by Morrison govt to help Australians get back to work
In the bid to create more jobs and establish links between local job seekers and businesses from all spheres, Bundaberg Job Fair is being organised by the Department of Education, Skills and Employment of Australia on 16th September. The job fair will be held at the Bundaberg Multiplex complex to bridge the gaps between employment seekers and providers and channel good talent towards the specified roles in industries like the care sector, agriculture, defence and hospitality. The sessions in the Bundaberg job fair will run from 9:30 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 3.30 pm.
Revival of the economy and stimulating post pandemic recovery seems to be top priorities of the coalition government at this point. The Bundaberg Job Fair is one of the ways to achieve this aim.
Job seekers are being encouraged to attend the Job fairs as they will get an idea about what credentials and skills employers are looking for while hiring for their companies. They will also get an opportunity to network, form connections and strengthen their networks which can be hugely beneficial for their careers.
More than 375 jobs will be up for grabs at the fair, as informed by the Federal Member for Hinkler Keith Pitt. He also said that the coalition government is making all possible efforts to assist job seekers in finding employment opportunities, regardless if it’s in Bundaberg or in south-east Queensland.
Stuart Robert, Minister for Employment, Workforce, Skills, Small and Family Business said that the creation of more job opportunities and initiating upskilling programs for Australians is essential to bring the economy back on track. He added, “The Morrison Government is committed to connecting job seekers with businesses looking to hire, as we continue our recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Just like the strong footing earned in the local labour market, the coalition government wants to capitalise on the momentum to reskill and upskill job seekers so that they can get jobs in various fields.
Aiming to target sectors requiring more and more workers, Luke Howarth, Assistant Minister for Youth and Employment Services said, “We know there is a real need to fill vacancies across the Australian labour market, which is why the Bundaberg Jobs Fair is so important.”
