Intrepid Travel appoints Brett Mitchell as MD

Intrepid Travel has reappointed Brett Mitchell as managing director of Australia and New Zealand. Mitchell will be responsible for overseeing the tour operator’s direct and industry sales and marketing strategies in the Australia and New Zealand region.

His reappointment has come after Sarah Clark announced her move to join Tourism Tasmania.  The outgoing MD will continue to serve until mid-November before joining her new role next year.

Before getting reappointed as MD, Mitchell served Intrepid Travel as a chief commercial officer. Mitchell has been serving Interpid for more than a decade. The company is hopeful that his knowledge and expertise will be critical in rebuilding the region to pre-pandemic levels.

Before joining Intrepid in 2008, Mitchell served the Council of Australian Tour Operators (CATO) and National Foods Limited, Inmarsat plc and PKF Chartered Accountants.

A commerce graduate from Curtin University, Mitchell is an associate chartered accountant (ACA).
