Now as she joins Valtech as its new Global Director of Diversity & Inclusion, she has an opportunity to improve the D&I practices in the tech industry and create a new benchmark.

At present, one of the biggest problems facing the tech industry today is the significant lack of workforce diversity and inclusive environments, with many groups of people being underrepresented or excluded. For example, several studies estimate women account for 17-30 percent of the tech industry’s workforce. The numbers indicate disproportionate male representation, highlighting structural biases that not only work against women in technology, but many other underrepresented groups such as people of colour, people with disabilities, those from poorer socio-economic backgrounds, those from the LGBT+ communities and more.

“We are excited to have a capacity like Sheree join our team,” said Olivier Padiou, Group COO at Valtech. “We belong to an industry in dire need of improvement when it comes to diversity and inclusion, and we believe having her knowledge and expertise on board is a positive step in the right direction to creating long-term change at Valtech.”

Before joining Valtech, Sheree has worked with companies like Peakon, Deloitte and Monzo. She has worked in many regions developing tailored, data-driven DE&I strategies, with clear goals and lines of accountability to embed success and inclusion that scales. Now, in her latest project she works towards improving diversity and inclusion in tech sector. As she works along with Valtech, she could use her expertise in leading and delivering trainings/workshops on : allyship, privilege awareness, unconscious bias, business of diversity and inclusion, becoming a Diversity & Inclusion ambassador, personal branding, empowering yourself to empower others.
