Small business owners find support in My Business portal

The new My Business portal has promised to put small business owners at par with their larger rivals by providing easy access to cost-effective management tools and services that weren’t previously available to them.

Formerly called Business Australia, My Business moved from just providing consultation services to offering access to Software as a Service (SaaS) tools for small businesses that may need help in recovering from pandemic-incurred losses.

My Business is Australia’s largest business organisation, assisting more than 90,0000 companies in the continent. Its most recent rebrand aims to align its messaging to its new vision and goals.

“We wanted our new brand to have a practical and confident feel. We’re all about working with business owners on a day-to-day basis and being in their corner with support,” said Richard Spencer, Chief Customer Experience at My Business, as quoted by B&T.

“Big businesses have easy access to these kinds of management tools, but small businesses don’t. My Business gives them a platform for advice, downloads, products, and services so they can get on with doing what they love,” he added.

My Business specifically targets to help companies that have less than 50 employees. Spencer said nearly half of their member database are companies with fewer than 20 employees that need access to tools to be competitive.

“We’ve got big business know-how but without the attitude. Small businesses can come to us for advice and support and know we’ve got their back,” Spencer explained.

Tools that help leaders navigate regulations, risk, and people management issues have only been accessible to larger organisations, something that the My Business portal seems to address on behalf of small businesses.

Small business owners interested in availing of the services of My Business can now go directly to their portal. Whether a business is just starting out, planning to exit, or just trying to be competitive, My Business has the right solutions to offer.

“Our business is helping yours. We’re an online platform, powered by people who believe in small business. And we support the owners who build and run them. We’ve got big business know-how, but it comes minus the big business attitude,” it said on its website.

“If you’re a small business owner and you’re looking to get the unfun done we’ve got your back, so you can move forward,” the statement added.

My Business aims to give small business owners a competitive edge after a tough couple of years during the pandemic.
