TransCanna promotes Alan Applonie to Chief Operating Officer

A California-based company, specializing in cannabis and cannabis-related products, TransCanna Holdings Inc. recently announced the promotion of Alan Applonie from General Manager to Chief Operating Officer.

In the new role, Applonie will manage and lead TransCanna's Cannabis focused brands, augment cultivation capability, execute product distribution and crop management services, third-party processing, and manufacturing. His primary focus will be on the implementation of enterprise management strategies and the expansion of cannabis-focused products across California. Alan Applonie’s goal will be to drive more profits and development in the forthcoming years.

Applonie joined TransCanna in 2019 as General Manager following a purchase of a 196,000 square foot Daly facility and acquisition of its significant subsidiary, Lyfted Farms. His contributions as a General Manager at TransCanna were exceptional. Applonie catered to 150 percent hike in overall cultivation produce, handled and managed initial construction at the Daly facility, made several other significant innovative transformations including, HR management and employee training systems, real banking practices from existing cash payments methods, compliant safety measures, financial reporting systems, and KPIs.

With over 25 years of leadership and management experience, Applonie has gained expertise in a number of fields and roles including, leading companies from the onset, management of start-ups, business development, team building, data analytics, project management and operational strategies. He has formerly served a number of companies under leadership, operational and management roles and has worked for Taylor Farms Pacific as well as its prepared food segment of Tennessee, Trident Seafoods, LSG Sky Chefs and All American Gourmet.
