Rachel Foster appointed new CFO of DHL Supply Chain in New Zealand

DHL Supply Chain announced the appointment of Rachel Foster as the new Chief Financial Officer(CFO) in New Zealand. She assumed the role in August this year and has been managing the responsibilities of CFO since. Foster replaced Chris Mellsop who held the CFO position since 2018. He announced his retirement after working for more than 24 years with DPDHL. He also has an accomplished finance background and has served in many finance roles across the group in Asia Pacific and America.

Foster has over 15 years of experience in the finance sector. She joined DHL as the Commercial Manager, a position she held for five years before being promoted to CFO. Prior to this, Foster has held distinguished accounting roles in reputable companies like Accent Group, GE Capital and Southern Cross Hospitals. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting and Finance from AUT University in Auckland.

On Foster’s appointment, Matt Casbolt, Managing Director of DHL Supply Chain New Zealand praised her business acumen and leadership skills and is hopeful that it will culminate into a booming phase of growth of DHL Supply Chain.

Foster on her new role in DHL said, “It’s an exciting time for the business, we have a real focus on data science and digitalisation. I’m looking forward to working with the team to build on what has already been achieved here in New Zealand.”

On Mellsop’s departure, Casbolt thanked him for his commitment, leadership and outstanding contribution in DHL’s growth for more than two decades.
