Elizabeth Corley appointed as a Non-Executive Director of Schroder’s Board

British multinational asset management company Schroders plc announced the appointment of Dame Elizabeth Corley as a Non-Executive Director of the board and member of the Nominations Committee and Chair designate, effective from the 1st of  September, 2021. Elizabeth will be succeeding Michael Dobson as the Chair of this GBP 700 Bn asset management company. This is the highest yet for the firm. Alongside this appointment, Schroder’s also announced an interim dividend of 37p per share, up from 35p per share last year. 

With over 45 years of extensive experience in financial services, she was the firm's choice in leading the mission of creating sustainable value for all stakeholders.  Prior to Schroders, she held positions of repute and responsibility at Allianz Global Investors, Merrill Lynch, and Coopers & Lybrand. 

Dobson will step down as the Chair at the conclusion of the Company’s Annual General Meeting which is scheduled to be held on 28 April 2022 but will continue as Chairman of the company.

Corley is currently the non-executive director of Pearson plc, BAE Systems plc, and Morgan Stanley, and also heads the chair of the Impact Investing Institute. She will step down from these roles before accepting the new position at Schroder’s. Ian King, Schroders Senior Independent Director, is delighted at having Corley on board and is confident in her capabilities.
