Tesh Durvasula to lead AtlasEdge as new CEO

AtlasEdge, a prominent player in the European data centre market, announced the appointment of Tesh Durvasula as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Durvasula, a seasoned veteran in the digital infrastructure and data centre industry, will assume his new role next month. This leadership transition marks a significant milestone for AtlasEdge as it aims to accelerate its growth and solidify its position as a leading edge data centre provider.

The current CEO, Giuliano Di Vitantonio, will transition to the role of Board Chairman on July 1, continuing to play an influential role in guiding the company’s strategic direction and growth objectives.

Di Vitantonio, who has been at the helm since the company’s inception in late 2021, expressed his pride and satisfaction in leading AtlasEdge through its formative years. Under his leadership, the company has successfully built a robust data centre portfolio spanning 12 countries across Europe, strategically located in some of the fastest-growing markets for customer demand.

“It has been a true privilege to lead AtlasEdge through its first chapter,” said Di Vitantonio. “Since launching in late 2021, we have built a data centre portfolio spanning 12 countries across the continent and located in some of the fastest-growing markets for customer demand. Having devoted my time and energy to establishing AtlasEdge over the best part of three years, it now feels the right moment for me to move into the role of Board Chairman. Tesh’s experience, credibility, and caliber make him ideally placed to drive the business forward in the years to come.”

Durvasula’s appointment is poised to inject fresh energy and perspective into AtlasEdge’s leadership team. Both he and Di Vitantonio will collaborate closely with Josh Joshi, who has been appointed executive director. This triumvirate of seasoned leaders is expected to steer AtlasEdge through its next phase of growth and innovation.

Tesh Durvasula: A leader in digital infrastructure

Durvasula brings over 25 years of experience in the digital infrastructure and data centre industry to his new role at AtlasEdge. His extensive background encompasses development, finance, sales and marketing, and real estate. His career is marked by a series of impactful leadership roles, including his most recent position as CEO of Africa Data Centres. Prior to that, he spent nearly a decade at CyrusOne, a leading global colocation provider, where he ascended to the position of president and CEO.

Durvasula’s track record of driving growth and innovation in the digital infrastructure sector positions him well to lead AtlasEdge as it navigates the evolving landscape of edge computing and data center services. His appointment signals a commitment to leveraging his vast expertise to capitalize on emerging opportunities and steer the company towards new heights.

“I am delighted to join AtlasEdge and lead the company through its next phase of growth,” said Durvasula. “The rising tide of customer demand makes this a prime time to invest in edge data center markets, and AtlasEdge is perfectly positioned to continue capturing this demand and become the continent’s leading platform. I can’t wait to get started and look forward to working closely with our shareholders, DigitalBridge and Liberty Global, building on the extraordinary momentum the industry has seen over the last several years.”

Durvasula’s vision for AtlasEdge revolves around harnessing the burgeoning demand for edge data centers—a critical component of the digital infrastructure that supports the increasing volume of data generated by modern applications and services. As more businesses and consumers rely on low-latency, high-performance computing capabilities, the need for edge data centres situated closer to end-users becomes ever more pronounced.

Under Di Vitantonio’s leadership, AtlasEdge has laid a solid foundation, establishing a presence in key markets and creating a platform poised for expansion. His transition to Board Chairman ensures continuity and strategic oversight as the company embarks on this new chapter. The collaboration between Di Vitantonio, Durvasula, and Joshi is expected to foster a dynamic and forward-thinking leadership team capable of navigating the complexities of the digital infrastructure landscape.

AtlasEdge’s shareholders, DigitalBridge and Liberty Global, have expressed confidence in the company’s new leadership and its ability to drive sustained growth and innovation. The backing of these prominent investors underscores the strategic importance of AtlasEdge’s mission to provide cutting-edge data centre solutions across Europe.
