Skillsoft to accelerate talent transformation with Kristi Hummel as Chief People Officer

HR industry veteran Kristi Hummel is now Chief People Officer of corporate digital learning platform Skillsoft. She brings with her over 25 years of people leadership experience in the technology industry and hopes to contribute to talent transformation in the L&D space.

"With innovative, comprehensive solutions that prepare organisations for the future of work, Skillsoft has never been more relevant or necessary as companies around the globe seek to upskill and reskill their workforces in response to the growing skills gap and dynamic workplace changes," Kristi said.

"I look forward to hitting the ground running and building on the strong foundation Skillsoft already has in place as we continue helping our clients build their own future-fit workforce."

Prior to joining Skillsoft, Kristi served as Senior Vice President of HR at Dell Technologies, where she spearheaded Talent and Culture initiatives. Her expertise is in designing and implementing best-practice programs for talent acquisition, retention and development, workforce planning, compensation and benefits, and performance management.

"Kristi will accelerate our efforts to attract, retain and develop the best talent in the industry and advance our culture of leadership and learning," said Skillsoft CEO Jeffrey Tarr.

As HR becomes "strategically important" more than ever, Tarr believes the appointment rounds out the firm's "newly seated, world-class leadership team".

"We look forward to working with her as we continue executing on our organic and acquisitive growth plans and creating value for our shareholders, customers, team members and other stakeholders," Tarr said.
