Laura Malcolm to lead Avanade’s Australia business

Microsoft partner, Avanade appoints Laura Malcolm as Australian General Manager, replacing the outgoing Managing Director Mahmood ‘Mac’ Ghani who will be moving to his new role of Global Growth and Strategy Executive. Malcolm will be taking on the leadership role of improving Avanade’s growth acceleration, preserving their market position in the country and leading its 500 plus employees. She is thrilled to step into her new role at the company, where she can aid their staff in achieving full potential whilst also supporting the clientele through this period of digitization. As the leading innovator of digital services and business solutions, Avanade aims to realize results through their customers and the Microsoft ecosystem. 

It was in 2014 when she first joined the team at Avanade as their Australian Chief Technology Officer, before taking on managerial roles as Avanade’s United Kingdom Digital Lead, Chief Operating Officer for UK and Ireland, and Global Advisory Practice Lead. Prior to Avanade, Malcolm worked at Oracle, Capgemini, IBM, Crossworlds Software, Constellar and EDS, holding various positions in management, technical and sales for over 20 years. She has worked on a global scale with industry-leading firms in the Europe and Asia Pacific region.
