Atlassian elevates Avani Prabhakar to Chief People Officer role

Atlassian, the renowned provider of team collaboration and productivity software solutions, is elevating Avani Prabhakar to the position of Chief People Officer. This strategic move underscores Atlassian's commitment to fostering a culture of excellence and empowerment within its workforce.

Avani Prabhakar will now lead Atlassian's People organisation, overseeing a diverse spectrum of functions critical to the company's success, including Human Resources (HRBP), Employment Relations, Talent Management, Total Rewards, People Insights, People M&A, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), and Team Anywhere across the globe.

Prabhakar's journey at Atlassian began in 2019 when she assumed the role of Head of HR Partners for Asia Pacific. Over the years, she demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities and a deep understanding of human capital management, prompting her progression within the organisation. Her previous roles include heading all HRBPs and leading Talent, Employee Relations, and DEI functions.

Erika Fisher, Chief Administrative and Legal Officer at Atlassian, expressed utmost confidence in Prabhakar's ability to steer the company towards future growth. Throughout her tenure, Prabhakar has consistently demonstrated a commitment to nurturing talent and fostering an inclusive work environment. In 2021, she expanded her team to include all HRBPs as Global Head of HRBPs, and subsequently took on additional responsibilities for Talent, Employee Relations, and DEI teams in the following year.

With over two decades of international experience spanning various industries across APAC, the Middle East, and the US, Prabhakar brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new role. Her promotion to Chief People Officer is a testament to her exemplary leadership and the invaluable contributions she has made to Atlassian's success.
