Downer appoints Amit Zutshi as Sourcing & Talent Acquisition CPO Group

Downer, a leading provider of integrated infrastructure services in Australia and New Zealand, has announced the appointment of Amit Zutshi as Sourcing & Talent Acquisition - CPO Group, effective May 2025.

Zutshi brings with him over 15 years of rich and diverse experience in procurement, sourcing, and talent acquisition, having worked with some of the most respected names in the technology and services sector. 

Announcing his new role, Zutshi posted on LinkedIn, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Sourcing & Talent Acquisition – CPO Group at Downer!”

Before joining Downer, Zutshi held a leadership role at Aristocrat, a global provider of premium casino games and customer experience technology. Over more than six years, he played a key role in driving innovation in sourcing strategies and building high-performing teams. Prior to that, he worked with Publicis Sapient for nearly seven years, where he honed his skills in global sourcing, digital transformation support, and organizational strategy.

Based in Australia, Zutshi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) in Finance from the Institute of Management Studies (IMS), Ghaziabad. His academic background, coupled with his practical experience, equips him to navigate the evolving demands of procurement and workforce planning in large-scale infrastructure environments.

Zutshi’s appointment comes at a crucial time for Downer as it strengthens its focus on operational efficiency, sustainability, and future-ready talent strategies. The company has been investing in digital transformation, smarter procurement systems, and inclusive hiring practices as part of its long-term vision to deliver value to stakeholders and communities.

Earlier this year, Downer was recognised as a sustainability leader, secured a place in the S&P CSA Sustainability Yearbook for the fifth consecutive year. Downer was one of only two Australian companies listed in the ‘Commercial Services & Supplies’ Industry Category.
